Biggest Celebrity Fashion Disasters

Biggest Celebrity Fashion DisastersCelebrities are often styles icons and people that we look to for tips on what to wear, but to err is to be human and there are times when even the coolest of celebrities will have a fashion disaster. You’ll see that famous people are just like us, after all, and you might be able to pick up a few fashion don’ts.

Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears at the American Music Awards 2001

Well, how’s this for matching outfits? Justin sported a tailored denim suit, while Britney wore a long denim strapless dress. This was really not a good look. They probably wish there hadn’t been quite so much press at this event to record their disastrous choice of outfits.

Victoria and David Beckham at a Versace Launch 1999

Another one for the ill though out matching outfits pile. David and Victoria wore matching leather biker-style outfits by Versace to one of the fashion label’s own launch parties. Maybe they thought they’d curry favour with their dedication to the line, but really it was a fashion disaster of the highest order.

Nicki Minaj at the MTV Music Awards 2011

It’s hard to even say what this was. Trying to follow in the footsteps of Lady GaGa, Nicki Minaj wore an extremely eccentric outfit consisting of a shiny metal dress with pyramid-shaped parts over her chest, furry slippers, a surgical mask and some sort of strange stuffed creature she carried around. What were you thinking Nicki? Don’t mess with what you don’t understand.

Florence Welch at the NME Awards 2012

Florence Welch was spotted wearing a tailored mono-chrome floral two piece of flares and a blazer. She was clearly going for a quirky vintage look, which is all very well, but you have to know how to pull off that sort of style. This, however, is not how you do so.

Celebrities across the years have suffered from fashion disasters, just like we do. Luckily for us, and unfortunately for them, our fashion disasters are not out in the public eye for all to see.
