Almost every state in the USA, from San Francisco to Boston, regularly hosts an array of fashion shows. These shows vary from large scale productions for top of the line designers, to more modest shows featuring the best in local and emerging talent. There is a fashion show taking place almost every day of the year in the USA, though of course many are concentrated around particular seasons. The larger cities such as New York City and Los Angeles see some of the most large scale and exclusive fashion shows taking place several times per year.
New York Fashion Week
New York Fashion Week is a week-long celebration of the very best in new and established designs that predict the trends of upcoming seasons. The event is bi-annual, usually taking place in February and September of each year, being one of a quadruplet of high end fashion weeks which take place in certain cities across the world. New York Fashion Week attracts some of the most prestigious designers, A-list stars, the most famous celebrities and all those at the top of the fashion world, such as magazine editors and models. Designers such as Chanel, Prada, Dolce & Gabanna, Fendi, Marc Jacobs, Chloe and Tom Ford regularly showcase at this event, and getting front row seats to any of these shows is considered to be an honor.
LA Fashion Week
Similar to the New York event, Los Angeles also hosts a regular fashion week which usually takes place in March and October of each year. Many a fashion show is on offer here, displaying the forthcoming trends of each future season. The fashion shows take places in locations all over LA, rather than being concentrated in one particular spot, which makes it a more interesting and diverse event. Again, exclusive designers are showcased here, as well as new and upcoming talent in design and modeling.
